On April 28th "Mea" opens in the Church of San Severo al Pendino: it is the first personal exhibition of Stefania Marino, a young neapolitan painter with consolidated expressive manners. Seventeen pictures and two painted benches will be showed in the monumental areas of the Church of San Severo al Pendino: new and old works that have in common a personal and recognizable style, even if in a constant evolution, and that throughout the years has opted for a gradual cut of the figures and for giving importance to the choice of colours, shapes and essential lines. Deep and dense colours stand out from the wide pictures, they have an effect of expressive simplicity that hides a care in the composition.

"This first has the mark of Stefania Marino. A creativity that is a pleasure of painting. The colours, spread with speed and without thoughts, show the reflection of the painter. The material world is recalled by the memory through peculiar fragments. The severity of the constituent structure stands out from the simplicity of the formulation, the severity expresses a strong sensibility to the charm of physical property of colours, producing elegant compositions, got through chromatic contrasts and pictures, cracks, variations of matter in the encrusted pigment"(From the introduction of Sergio Moccia in the catalog of the exhibition).

The design of the exhibition, edited by Zè Design, is sponsored by the Commune of Naples, with the collaboration of Banca di Credito Popolare. The opening will take place on April 28th at 17.00 h, in the presence of the Assessor Nicola Oddati. "Mea" will be exhibited in the Church of San Severo al Pendino, in Via Duomo 286, till 18th May.
