Humans of Naples

Photographic project of social survey

Grasp in a city of many facets the social "effectual" reality by the faces of the "people", enclosed in a photo shoot accompanied by personal commentary of citizens. This is the aim of the project "Humans of Naples", launched by the University Suor Orsola Benincasa, sponsored by the City of Naples and the City of San Giorgio a Cremano, thanks to the idea of Vincenzo De Simone.
The project comes on the heels of a "format" of success already designed for the city of New York ("Humans of New York") by Brandon Stanton and followed to date by more than 5 million Internet users, with the aim of import into a social and cultural reality so varied as that of Naples, a system of observation of reality that could be very useful for the purposes of social research.
The project will determine a real involvement of "people of Naples", who represent the realist protagonists of the initiative.
In each photograph there will be a person and every person will present his/her point of view on the City of Naples and on the fact of being Neapolitan. Free Thoughts on "what it means to live in Naples," about the reason people decide to go aay from Naples or to stay here.
