Exhibition of the works of the last cycle of the artist's painting entitled "Us and Them" (2014) and a selection of works from various cycles that have characterized the artist's research attention in recent years (approximately 40 oils on canvas and board ). Paolo Naldi is interested in a discourse on the social and this exhibition was conceived as a brief retrospective of this intense creative period.
The incomunicability, the difficulty of contemporary man to relate to others, is the constant background in Paolo Naldi's works. He is an artist who proposes metaphorical images of everyday life, in a petty and inconsistent society; his characters, wearily and sadly live from opposite angles many visions, in snatched moments lived and / or dreamed, and the feelings of bitter-tasting too often violent expressions on the one hand, calm and resigned on the other. The acquiescence of the image appears inert, the underlying concepts and deep depleting noticeable tension, is expressed as a fusion mode of expression and lucidity of thought into a settling time of visions and feelings.
