Fogli's classical world and the contemporary one by Grassinointersect in a fantastic universe, where good and evil, light and darkness are facing symbolically and dynamically in physical space.
The series of heads made fby Fogli, titled The suit, arises from the transformation of the clay mold of the face of the artist himself, from which emerge through a series of changes the "others" that he therefore welcomes and hosts inside his own identity . Heads of the sleepers who are also dreaming the crib in Naples (the Benini).
Black illuminated faces with gold and clay, steeped in symbolism evocative, suggestive mythological and sacred hanging on the walls like trophies human, observe the urban jungle of Grassino within which they move black beasts. These beings, personifications of the danger, the fear of death, of the ambiguities and anxieties of the present collide with an artifact, a foreign body, creating with it a kind of narrative construct.
Fogli's search is placed in such a state of consciousness somewhere between waking and dreaming, producing a metaphysical and meditative art, where fragments of natural psychic world and mingle with delicate steps, on the other hand, Grassino explores in clear and forceful form the precariousness and the drift of contemporary civilization, magmatic and misleading territory, where the correspondence of internal and external nature of being symbolically represented by the beast.
A sensory journey even before cognitive, from which the visitor gets sucked into a world as another, no longer just a spectator but an alive actor of the work.
