Wine&Thecity
From wine festival to urban creativity. Naples, May, 14th-28th 2014 

115 locations in the city will take part to the biggest festival of curban reativity of ​​Naples: flash mobs, actions of public art, Vespa tours, Street food, cocktails in the boutiques, art installations, musical performances, guided tours at night.
For seven years, the May in Naples brings with itself the scent and color of the wine, the thrill of sociability and creativity. For seven years, Wine&Thecity takes place in Naples, a show that involves two districts of the city, more than 100 locations and more than 70 wineries, in a relay of appetizers that combines fashion, design, culture, art, music and wine. A large moveable feast full of nomadism and contamination, with the partecipation of boutiques, major hotels, restaurants, jewelry stores, art galleries, historic buildings, desecrated churches and ateliers of taste in a fil rouge of events, exhibitions and performance art, wine tastings, parties, DJ sets, aperitifs-shopping and cooking show.

THE INAUGURATION | PANDIVINO
On May 20th, at 6pm, the PAN, Palazzo delle Arti Napoli, opens the seventh edition of Wine & Thecity: art, food, wine and classical music fill the monumental atrium of the Pan in a combination of visual, tactile, taste and hearing. Contamination, is the key word. The monumental staircase will host a musical performance by Centro di Musica Antica Fondazione Pietà dei Turchini. A work of art by Teatro dissolto and curated by Simona Perchiazzi, that will light up the facade of the PAN. The tasting is entrusted to the Sommeliers of Ais of Naples with wines of Movimento del Vino Campania and a special cucine intervention by Carlo Oliveri, designer and chef at Cooking Division. Under the arcades of Pan, the APEritif Naples where the Ape car is transformed into a cafeteria involving street food as welland the special Neapolitan taralli (bagel) by Leopoldo Infante, producer of taralli in Naples for 70 years. In
collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism of the City of Naples.

CIRCUIT
From May 21st to 24th boutiques, jewelers, art studio, showroom design, desecrated churches, historic buildings and courtyards, wine bar, hotels, restaurants and pizzerias will open their doors on the occasion of Wine & Thecity. 2 quarters are involved: the old town city center and Chiaia for a total of 115 locations, all recognizable by the colorful banner Wine & Thecity. 72 participating wineries. To each wine a special program is associated with art installations, musical performances, poetry, theater, exhibitions, design, crafts, themed menus and much more. The fil rouge of the event will be the performance A basso tasso alcolico by the artist Enza Monetti.   

THE VIRTUAL MAP
a virtual map will be available on smart phones. The map in available on the web www.mappi-na.it, where it will be possible to check the itinerary of the initiatives. The community Yelp will be the social media partner of Wine & Thecity.
