Saturday, April 12th, at 6.00pm, at the hall of the PAN of PAN | Palazzo delle Arti in Naples, the documentary by RAI Educational "Manlio Sgalambro: a journey beyond the cliché" will be presented. The documentary is directed by Francesco Iannello, with the scientific-technical coordination by Maria Savarese. The documentary record the last video interview to the great philosopher Manlio Sgalabro, who recently died.The event is promoted by the Department for Culture and Tourism of the City of Naples, in collaboration with the Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies and the Society for Political Studies.
"Invitation to the Journey" is the title of a poem by Charles Baudelaire (The Flowers of Evil, 1857) and rewritten by Manlio Sgalambro and that became the text of a Franco Battiato's song. Inviting someone to travel, or as battiato sais in the video, is inviting to abandon the clichés, an essential waiver to start the path of the philosophical reflection.
Manlio Sgalambro, Italian philosopher and poet, recounts the origins of his "vocation", claiming the distance of its philosophy from the academic and philosophies "practices" that have reduced the contemporary philosopher to "clerk of thought." 
Sgalambro stalks about the figure of the "cleric" theorized by Julien Benda, a work of the Ethics of Spinoza as a "dangerous" work, which he has kept close throughout his life as a sacred text and defines the Wise, the Essais as a genre that, with Montaigne, opens modernity, a "taste", as opposed to the treaty and systematic way.
Sgalambro goes so far as to criticize the very concept of culture, calling it "a negative concept," and makes a lucid analysis of the current policy and contradictions contained in the concept of democracy.
Manlio Sgalambro in November of 2013 after viewing a preview of the documentary, sent this comment to the director Francesco Iannello: "I liked your video for its 'objectivity'". But most of all I congratulate you for the genre within which he moved: the visual essay. In a time when writing was lost, as it seems, every vital energy, however the faut tenter de vivre. And of course still groped to write. "
The projection of the video will be followed by a talk, whose guests will be: the director Francesco Ianniello, Nino Daniele, Head of the Department for Culture and Tourism, Gennaro Carrillo, Professor of History of Political Thought at the University of naples Suor Orsola Benincasa.

Sábado, 12 de Abril, a las 18.00 horas, en el salón del PAN PAN | Palazzo delle Arti Napoli,
se presentará el documental de RAI Educational "Un viaje más allá del cliché" de Manlio Sgalambro, dirigido por Francesco Iannello, técnico - científica por Maria Savarese. Se trata de un vídeo de la última entrevista al gran filósofo recientemente fallecido.
El evento promovido por el Departamento de Cultura y Turismo de la Municipalidad de Nápoles y organizado en colaboración con el Instituto Italiano de Estudios Filosóficos y de la Sociedad de Estudios Políticos.
"Invitación al Viaje" es el título de un poema de Charles Baudelaire (Las flores del mal, 1857), reescrito por Manlio Sgalambro y convertido en letra de una de Franco Battiato. Invitar a alguien a viajar, como dice el mismo Battiato, significa invitar a abandonar sus clichés, o mejor dicho, constituye una renuncia esencial para empezar el camino hacia la reflexión filosófica.
Manlio Sgalambro, filósofo y poeta italiano, narra los orígenes de su "vocación", alegando la distancia de su filosofía de las "prácticas" académicas y filosofías que han convertido al filósofo contemporáneo en "empleado del pensamiento."
Sgalambro habla de la figura del "clérigo" teorizado por Julien Benda, una obra de la Ética de Spinoza como "peligrosa", que ha mantenido estrecha a lo largo de su vida como un texto sagrado y define el Sabio, el Essais como un género que, con Montaigne, abre la modernidad, un "sabor", en oposición al tratado y sistematicidad.
Sgalambro va tan lejos como para criticar el concepto mismo de cultura, que calificó como "un concepto negativo", y hace un lúcido análisis de la política actual y contradicciones contenidas en el concepto de democracia.
Manlio Sgalambro en noviembre de 2013 después de haber visto previamente el documental, mandó al director Francesco Iannello este comentario: "Su video me gustó por la objetividad que lo caracteriza".Pero sobre todo le felicito por el género empleado: el ensayo visual. En un momento en que la escritura se perdió, como parece, toda energía vital, pero faut tensor de vivre. Y, por supuesto, aún intentar escribir ".
