Legambiente presents "Week of the Beauty": events and guided tours of Underground Art

From April 5 to 13 many events throughout Italy to explore the beauty of the area and the best of our country with tours, excursions, retraining and active citizenship. Naples is between the city symbol of this year Edition. Legambiente launches the "Immeasurable Beauty Award" for enhancing experiences and ideas that look to the future of the country.

 
 
The city with great expectations is the one that tries not to lose the sense of belonging and loves to defend, create and exploit its great beauty, pride and a symbol of a country among the most loved and visited in the world. Now in its second edition, the initiative, conceived and organized by the environmentalist association Legambiente, provides many cultural events that will link the North and South of the country to deal with the quality environmental, cultural and social aspects of our territory and raise awareness of the beauty of the area, art and gestures.
 
MetroArt and Capodimonte-Collina Gentile will be the symbolic places of this Neapolitan edition 2014: Bike tour to the hill on Saturday, 12th and Sunday, 13th, guided tours to Underground Art, where the places of mobility have been made more comfortable and attractive offering to citizens and tourists, an unusual encounter with contemporary art, thanks to the collaboration with Legambiente MetroNapoli that the last year has trained about 100 citizens capable of guiding tourists and Neapolitans along the art stations. Some events will be the Seminar "Collina Gentile - smar tours from Via Foria to Capodimonte", moreover, visit to Paradisiello, the Wizard of OZ and Yoga for children.

For the second edition of the "Week of the Beauty" organized by Legambiente Italy, back again the weekend dedicated to Art Underground promoted by Legambiente / Neapolis 2000, under the patronage of the Department for Culture and Tourism of the City of Naples.
Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April and Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th April, guided tours of the stations Dante, Museo, Garibaldi, Università, Materdei, Salvator Rosa and Toledo. Legambiente volunteers, coordinated by the Department for the artistic heritage of the metro, will accompany visitors to discover the rich heritage of contemporary art underground, to illustrate the characteristics and significance of each work exhibited.
The guided tours are free. They start at 11am and will approximately last 90 minutes. minutes. The meeting point is at the entrance of these stations, close to the entrance turnstiles. Participants must be provided with the undergorund ticket. The participation of groups should be agreed by sending an email to infoarte@metro.na.it
