Gloss (Rogiosi, 2012), yellow glam debut of the Neapolitan journalist, press agent and PR Francesca Petino Scognamiglio, editor of the portal lovepress.it, it becomes a graphic novel illustrated by Rosa and Carlotta Crepax, crossed during the search for an artist with sensibility and at the same time, a strong sense of aesthetics and a particular attention to the latest trends.

Gloss in graphic novel, preview at Comicon Napoli, will be presented with an exhibition whose details will be presented in a conference press that will take place at the PAN, Palazzo delle Arti Napoli, in Via dei Mille on the 8th of February at 11.30 am.
Rosa and Carlotta Crepax, the famous surname does not deceive, are the grandchildren of Guido Repax, illustrator of the comics 'Valentina'. The twin sisters, who are only 23 year old, collaborate with renowned fashion brand widely know as for instance Trussardi, 7 For All Mankind (brand of denim), Ford (they designed the launch of the new Ford Fiesta car) and Topshop (they worked for the make up collection by Louise Gray). In their blog, "Illustrated Moodboard", they draw onChanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs and on lesser-know but talented stylists as NovaChiu, Bora Aksu, Ivana Pilja and Natash Zinko. "Illustrated Moodboard" was born in September, 2010. The blog looks like a realexciting melting pot in which languages, art, lines, colors and cultures liveall together. Moreover, the blog represents a perfect and successful union of fashion and comics.
The graphic novel "Gloss" is characterized by an original and unique style. The unique blend of some of the characteristics of manga comics and the style of fashion illustration could bring to think about Rosa and Carlotta Crepax as the pioneers of a new style: the glam manga. The colors black and white tinge the atmosphere of mystery and suspance, on the other hand, the shades ofgrey (as the famous pepper trilogy) give depth and complexity to faces and landscapes that are represented.
As it happens in the manga style, importance in given to the atmosphere of the story and to the characterization of the large cast of characters who live in the novel, totheir physicality, their emotions and their thoughts as well.
The care and elegance of the details of the outfits and of the hairstyles and make-up lines is typical ofthe school of fashion design where the two illustrators studied.
"Gloss" style is very close to the Japanese style. Horizontal and vertical spaces are alternated in a heterogeneous way, completely eliminating, in some tables, the limit of vision represented by borders and frames, and thus leaving ample freedom to the location of the player. Element of great originality, which makes "Gloss" a special comics, is the union between the perfection of textures and landscapes worked on the computer and the lines, the beautiful captivating in their imperfection, born from the pencil of the two sisters.
All these factors make the graphic novel a synthesis, a brilliant melting pot, illustration, drawing and cartoon, with all the peculiarities and the many facets that generally distinguish these expressions of visual art from each other.
