Water Fire. Photographic Exhibition by Mauro Fermariello

It is called Water Fire and will sponsor a fund raising for the pediatric Hospital Santobono, the photographic exhibition by Mauro Fermariello planned at PAN | Palazzo delle Arti Napoli from next 6th DECEMBER to 8th JANUARY.
The initiative it's promoted by the Association S.O.S. Sostenitori Ospedale Santobono ONLUS, sponsored by Comune di Napoli Assessor to the Culture and Tourism, edited by Golden Agency, with the aim to fund raising to finance the project :"Santobono and  Gaslini twin in fight against cancer in childhood age".
The project identified by S.O.S., the ONLUS set up by doctors of the neapolitan pediatric pole and directed by Dr Antonino Tramontano, it's expected the mounting of a multimedia room at the Neurosurgery department, with weekly meetings in videoconference between doctors of Santobono Hospital and those one from Gaslini Hospital of Genova, to talk about clinical cases of small child patients affected by brain tumor, in-patient in both hospitals.
Mauro Fermariello, after five years, come to exhibit in his city, a photographic progect, in aid of charity.

The neapolitan photographer it's all along involved in reportage that has highlighted and supported by critical situations in the world: date from 2006 - 2007 his last speech about the situation of refugee camps of northern Uganda and about Lacor Hospital, very important Ugandan Hospital.
 
This time Fermariello chooses Naples, his city, considered all along too difficult to show: and he tryies, going around for hours, let the city talk itself and communicating "Simply" its beauty, that sometimes we don't pay attention for: that's his idea of city, the idea that he keeps inside himself when he's out of town. Pictures are shown as diptyich, for some images are complementary, giving to the whole expositive layout a binary rhythm, even in the title "Acqua Fuoco"- "Water Fire"-, for the water, in Naples, it's everywhere, and fire it's in its belly; but "water fire"it's even the game we used to play when we were small children, looking for something guided by a safe voice  Fermariello this time have found Out the right voice to tell about his city.
Erri de Luca is suppporting this initiative os S.O.S ONLUS; he arranged the preface of the catalogue on sale. The revenue from the catalogue and artwork's exhibition sale will contribute to the financing project; as well as funds collected during different meetings about the event.
