By Pietro Marino and Alessandra Lanzetta

"A work in becoming formed by time" (Tiziana Tricarico - Il Mattino 21.11.2012)

Terrazze del PAN - from 21th november 2012 to 13th january 2013

It was born to disappear to the autumn neapolitan weather the installation from the title "Schwarze Tomaten, oder schiffbruch". The work composed by two artist from Irpinia Franco Marino and Alessandra Lanzetta. The work description will be placed on the terraces of Pan that overlook on the wonderful via dei Mille, so simply.

As the german title says, the work it's about to put up, in a symbolic way, a shipwreck, represented by clay tomatoes and "figure in materiali eterocliti": iron wire, shells, cuttlebones, fossils, tools of different shapes and functions.
All the white expositive surface, will be occupied about by 1800 objects, shiny black colour, in an available material, will desappear along the next months. It's an overacting of the theme about the work deep meaning.

The authors have showned the split over the characters, shipwreck survivors of everytime, lost at the sea. Starting point of research that Marino and Lanzetta suggest it's the famous " Crater of shipwreck" of Museum Pithecusa of Ischia, at Villa Rizzoli , Lacco Ameno council. Terrible images of the ancient vase, of two thousands and seven hundred years, are the jump for modernity: voyage and shipwreck.
