It's an exhibition of great cultural importance, at the end of october at Pan, thanks to the association of entity very active downtown as the Goethe-Institut and Napoli COMICON, supported by the city museum and Comune di Napoli.

An exhibition that incarnates perfectly the fundamental work aim of cultural promotion of Goethe - Institut: to pass passion for reading thru the arrangment of meetings with german illustrators and authors, so that it's excited the interest for the book and comic, renewing, day by day, the open dialogue between Italy and Germany.

Author of more than 40 books and different film shorts of animation, Jutta Bauer arrives in Italy with a great exposition that goes form the first illustrations of endings 80's, giving a panoramic on the whole opera of author, thru her indipendent works, sketches, contributions for nespaper and magazines and, of course, translated books's tables over the world.

With this exhibition the Goethe-Institut of Napoli opens up to the italian pubblic the doors on the world of the biggest contemporary german illustrator: Queen of Lines and Colours, close to the youngest world but deeply loved by adults for her irony and capacity to pick up reality in every facets in an amusing way.
 

During the exhibition will be possible appreciate visually and according a scenography way, some of her most famous characters such as, Selma the sheep, the penguins of Screaming Mother, Emma and Juli inspired by characters of Kirsten Boie; Ich Sitze hier im Abendlich, a collections of over one hundred letters during different centuries: real letters, based on books, messages, fake communications, all of them illustrated by the author: between them, Johann Wolfgang Goethe and our Umberto Eco.

Amusing and refined as her illustrations, the german artist will be present in Naples for some days, anxious to compete with the napolitean childhood's world that will involve in didactic works and workshop, then exposed at Pan too.  It will be a dinamic and participatory moment that will carry away the younger students over the real vision of a museum exhibition. Realized thanks to the support of Comune di Napoli that looks for being active and present on the civic territory involving the Pan, the exhibition makes use of care and professionalism of COMICON, organization that during the last fifteen years, has gained respect and affection of all the lovers of drawings and comic. Fundamental Collaborations with the Bilderbuchmuseum of Troisdorf city and Luzzati Museum of Genova that will host the exhibition in 2013. The exhibition it's free. Monday/Saturday 9.30am-7.30pm.
Sunday 9.30am-2.30pm. Tuesday closed
