The Cemetery of Fontanelle is located in the heart of Rione Sanità and it is one of the most important cemeteries in Naples. Historically the necropolis is the place of a very popular devotion for the deads, identified as souls in purgatory needing care. Forgotten for many years, the cemetetery was restored.
