On occasion of the America's Cup 2012 in Naples, scheduled from 7th to 15th April, the Maschio Angioino hosts the exhibition "Il vento e il vapore" that proves the technical and sporting evolution of the sail boat at the very moment when its decadence is initiated in the commercial and war field to advantage of the vapour.
The exhibition, that will be opened from 3rd to 13th April at the Maschio Angioino, is constituted by 60 panels bringing reproductions from original incisions of the XIX century related to the boats, to the life on board, to events and landscapes that show the effect of the traumatic industrial revolution synthetized in the title "Il vento e il vapore".

The exhibition illustrates the paradox of the science and the technique to loss of the traditions and the environment, but to advantage of their fruition by man in different ways, those sporting and competitive.
