It will start in Castel dell'Ovo the 6th of December 2008 at 17:00, the first edition of "the Yellow of Naples", an international contemporary art project planned by Jean-Noël Schifano, edited by Schifano and Maria Savarese, pilot event of the Forum of Naples Cultures 2013.
The manifestation, sponsored by Campania Region, the Municipality of Naples and the Italian Department of Culture in Paris, consists in a contemporary art exhibition in collaboration with Rocco Barocco, and with the subsidy of: Campania Region, Municipality of Naples, Culture Assessorship, Tess Costa of Vesuvio, Neapolitan entrepreneur Union, Comes Villaricca S.p.A, Bank of Naples, Naples Underground, Corriere del Mezzogiorno, Foundation My Earth, Foundation Pasquale Corsicato, Il mondo di Suk.

The protagonist of these works will be the colour universally known as "Yellow of Naples",a pigment with a very light shade functional to the exaltation of others tones, and it becomes for the occasion metaphor of the Neapolitan creative identity in harmony with the rest of the world. Thanks to the colour that characterizes it universally, Naples through artists coming from the five continents will reveal itself as creative source in the 21st century.
Nearly one hundred artists, coming from all the continents, will work around a leading group of Neapolitan painters, sculptors and photographers to display in different Neapolitan seats works in which the Yellow of Naples is the protagonist.

Among selected artists there are: Mario Persico, Bruno Del Monaco, Ernesto Tatafiore, Lello Esposito, Fabio Donato, Manuel Olivares, Riccardo Dalisi, Rosaria Matarese, Carla Viparelli, Francesco Manes, Nunzio De Martino, Camillo Ripaldi, Giuseppe Manigrasso, Lino Fiorito, Yvonne De Rosa, Silvio Merlino, Lello Masucci, Sasi Menale, Oreste Zevola, Aniello Barone, Sophie Bassouls, Ali Hassoun, Ben, Antonio Segui, Patrice Giorda, Denis Monfleur, Vladimir Vélickovic, Alekos Fassianos, Gérard Fromanger, Salvino Campos, Pierre Amrouche, Sui Jianguo, Ru Xiao Fan, Krzysztof Bednarski, Carlos Freire, Mojmir Jesek, Doc George, Takata, Tjalpaltjarri, Kalidou Kassè, Felix Policastro, Paul Ahyi, Camillo Ripaldi, Olivier Fermariello, Salvatore Vitagliano, Eugène Bavcar, Roberto Micheli.

The selected works will be exhibited in the most representative places of the city, such as: Castel dell'Ovo, the mainstay of the manifestation, the Royal Palace, the Gallery Umberto I, the Isle of Nisida, the funicular station of Chiaia, Città della Scienza, Academy of fine arts, the Museum ARCA, the Museum Corallo Ascione, Church of the crowned Virgin, Bank of Naples, Villa Campolieto, the gallery Entropyart in progress, the gallery Al Blu di Prussia, the gallery Franco Riccardo Visual Arts, the Cultural association Ty'sh.

Other exhibitions will take place in Paris, Barcelona, Athens through Italian Cultural Institutes, where 15 selected artists will be on display from April 2009.

The exhibition will be open from the 6th of December 2008 to the 12th of January 2009
